So much for Reggie Bush returning to play against the New England Patriots. That was the hope for the Detroit Lions running back coming into the week, but Bush is inactive for Sunday's game. He was only able to practice on a limited basis this week, and clearly his ankle hasn't healed quite enough for the Lions to feel comfortable playing him. Instead, as reported by Pro Football Talk on Saturday, it appears that Bush's return will have to wait until Thanksgiving.
On a positive note, there really isn't anything too notable about the other players who are inactive this week. There are no real surprises, and none of the Lions' top three tight ends are on the list of inactives for a change, meaning Brandon Pettigrew, Joseph Fauria and Eric Ebron are all finally healthy at the same time. Take a look:
QB Kellen Moore
RB Reggie Bush
WR Ryan Broyles
TE Kellen Davis
OG Larry Warford
DE Larry Webster
DT Nick Fairley
Here are the Patriots' inactives for Sunday:
RB James White
WR Aaron Dobson
OL Cameron Fleming
OL Jordan Devey
DE Chandler Jones
DL Dominique Easley
CB Malcolm Butler
