When we last checked in on Jim Caldwell's approval rating, the Detroit Lions were 6-2 at the halfway point of the season. Since then, the Lions have had an up and down month of November. They scored a big win at home over the Miami Dolphins before losing back-to-back games on the road against tough teams. And, most recently, the Lions got back to their winning ways with a comfortable win over the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving.

What this all means for the Lions is that they are now 8-4. Whether or not that's good enough for first place in the NFC North depends on what happens in the Green Bay Packers' game on Sunday, but generally speaking, the Lions are in solid shape when it comes to making the playoffs. Obviously they need to put together a strong finish, but Caldwell has the Lions in a good spot going into the final quarter of the season.

With that in mind, do you approve of the job Caldwell is doing as head coach of the Lions? Vote now in the poll below and leave your thoughts in the comments.

As a reminder of how previous polls have played out, here's a look at Caldwell's past approval ratings:

October 2014: 94% approval
September 2014: 96% approval
August 2014:
67% approval
June 2014: 77% approval
