Lions injury report: Rob Sims misses practice with illness

New, comments

Remember that illness that landed a few Detroit Lions players on the injury report last week? It's still spreading through the locker room this week.

The illness that landed a few Detroit Lions players on last week's injury report has struck again. It kept defensive end George Johnson out of practice on Wednesday, and offensive guard Rob Sims was sidelined by it on Thursday. Based on what happened with the other players, Sims should be able to play come Sunday, but it's a bit concerning that this bug is still going around the locker room.

In other news, defensive tackle C.J. Mosley missed practice on Thursday. Why? He had a pretty good reason behind his absence:

Here's the Lions' full injury report for Thursday:

WR Calvin Johnson (ankle) - Fully practiced
OG Rob Sims (illness) - Did not practice
DE George Johnson (illness) - Fully practiced
DT Nick Fairley (knee) - Did not practice
DT C.J. Mosley (not injury related) - Did not practice
LB Ashlee Palmer (quad) - Limited in practice
CB Mohammed Seisay (hamstring) - Limited in practice
S Don Carey (ankle) - Fully practiced
