After losing back-to-back games, the Detroit Lions fell quite a bit in NFL power rankings. That's no surprise, of course, just as it's no surprise that the Lions moved back in the right direction this week after beating the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving. Take a look:
- SB Nation: 11th (up from 14th)
- NFL.com: 9th (up from 11th)
- ESPN: 11th (up from 13th)
- CBS Sports: 10th (up from 13th)
- FOX Sports: 6th (up from 13th)
As you can see, the Lions are actually back in the top 10 in multiple sets of power rankings, and FOX Sports actually has them all the way up at No. 6. FOX Sports has consistently been the most impressed by the Lions seemingly all season, and that's once again the case this week.
The 2-10 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which will take on the Lions on Sunday, are currently ranked 25th (SB Nation), 26th (NFL.com), 28th (ESPN), 29th (CBS Sports) and 25th (FOX Sports). The Bucs have consistently been ranked toward the bottom all season, and the Lions will try to keep them there by handing them another loss on Sunday.
