Only four players are on this week's injury report right now for the Detroit Lions. One of them, wide receiver Calvin Johnson, missed practice on Wednesday with an ankle injury. This is nothing new for Johnson, who has dealt with an ankle injury nearly all season, and chances are he was merely given a day off on Wednesday.
Also on the injury report are running back Joique Bell and cornerback Mohammed Seisay. Bell was limited on Wednesday with an Achilles injury, but it doesn't sound serious.
Joique Bell apparently dealing with an Achilles injury. Lombardi said he doesn't except it to limit him Sunday. #Lions— Josh Katzenstein (@jkatzenstein) December 24, 2014
Seisay fully practiced after missing last week's game with a hamstring injury. He should be good to go on Sunday.
The other player on the injury report is defensive tackle Nick Fairley, who has been out for some time now with a knee injury. It's highly unlikely that he will be back this week, but he could still return in the playoffs considering the Lions haven't put him on injured reserve just yet.
Teryl Austin on Nick Fairley: "I don't know if he's close" but said he's getting better. Said since he's not on IR, there's a chance...— Michael Rothstein (@mikerothstein) December 24, 2014
