The Detroit Lions wrapped up the 2014 regular season with a loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, and their 2015 list of opponents is now set as a result. We already knew 14 of the Lions' 16 opponents for next year coming into this season, but the final two opponents weren't made official until the standings were finalized. Take a look:
Home opponents: Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles
Away opponents: Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams, Kansas City Chiefs (in London), San Diego Chargers, New Orleans Saints
In 2015, the Lions will take on the NFC West and AFC West. This means that the schedule looks quite tough on paper. Then again, who knows if Peyton Manning will even be playing next season, and who knows what the 49ers' situation will look like with Jim Harbaugh on his way out. What's more, don't forget that that road game against the Chiefs will actually be held in London instead of Kansas City (on Nov. 1, 2015).
In addition to those two divisions and the usual NFC North foes, the Lions are set to take on the Eagles and Saints. Those two teams, like the Lions, finished second in their respective divisions, which is why they are set to take on Detroit in 2015.
