NFL playoff schedule: Date, start time announced for Lions/Cowboys

The NFL playoff schedule has been announced, meaning we now know when the Detroit Lions will take on the Dallas Cowboys.

The NFL has announced its playoff schedule for both the wild-card and divisional rounds. We learned earlier that the Detroit Lions are matched up with the Dallas Cowboys in the wild-card round, and we now know that game will take place on Sunday, Jan. 4. Kickoff is set for 4:40 p.m. ET on FOX.

If the Lions are able to beat the Cowboys, they will play at the Seattle Seahawks in the divisional round on Saturday, Jan. 10. That game will start at 8:15 p.m. ET and be broadcast by FOX.

Here's the full NFL playoff schedule for the first two rounds (all times Eastern):

Wild-card round

Saturday, Jan. 3

Arizona Cardinals at Carolina Panthers (4:35 p.m., ESPN)

Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers (8:15 p.m., NBC)

Sunday, Jan. 4

Cincinnati Bengals at Indianapolis Colts (1:05 p.m., CBS)

Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys (4:40 p.m., FOX)

Divisional round

Saturday, Jan. 10
