Lions approval poll: Jim Caldwell (December 2014)

Do you approve of the job Jim Caldwell is doing as head coach of the Detroit Lions? Vote now.

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

Jim Caldwell's first regular season as head coach of the Detroit Lions is in the books. He went 11-5 and came up one game short of the Lions' first-ever NFC North title, but he did lead the team to the playoffs. All in all, I'd call that a success, at least based on the Lions' recent standards.

Of course, just how successful this season ends up being ultimately depends on what the Lions do in the playoffs. If they go one-and-done with a loss to the Dallas Cowboys, the season will really end on a disappointing note. If the Lions finally snap their playoff losing streak, however, this could turn out to be one of the most successful Lions seasons in the modern era.

In any case, it's now time to vote on Caldwell's approval rating for December. You can check out his past ratings below and vote on his new one in the poll at the end of this post.

November 2014: 87% approval
October 2014: 94% approval
September 2014: 96% approval
August 2014:
67% approval
June 2014: 77% approval
