- During an interview on Tuesday, former Detroit Lions head coach and current Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz talked about the 2013 Lions. Specifically, he said that he wouldn't "pin" the Lions' second-half collapse solely on Matthew Stafford, whom he called "an outstanding quarterback." Also, Schwartz pointed to the team's lack of depth as a reason behind their issues.
- Schwartz also once again came to Ndamukong Suh's defense by denying that Suh was ever late for a meeting.
Jim Schwartz on Suh on @Midday180: "Somebody said that Ndamukong was constantly late & was doing it to show up the coaching staff... (1of2)
— Paul Kuharsky (@PaulKuharskyNFL) February 11, 2014Schwartz on Suh (2of2): "...I can say categorically in four years as a player there, he was late zero times and I know that for a fact."

- One more thing from Schwartz (via ESPN): "Even though I'm now over at the Bills and we play Detroit this year, I'm certainly still a Ndamukong Suh fan and in a lot of ways still a Lions fan." I know things got a bit ugly at the end of Schwartz's tenure, but best of luck to him in Buffalo (when he's not going up against the Lions, that is).
- New Lions offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi would like the team's No. 2 wide receiver to be both "big and fast."
- The Cleveland Browns decided to shake up their front office on Tuesday by firing general manager Mike Lombardi and having CEO Joe Banner step down. Also, they promoted Ray Farmer to general manager.
- The Browns' changes have actually been viewed as a good thing by many, but their lack of patience has produced some crazy stats:
#Browns have now had 3 different head coaches and 3 different GMs in the last 407 days. Decent.
— Chris Sprow (@SprowESPN) February 11, 2014Steelers: three head coaches the past 45 years. Browns: three head coaches the past 407 days.

- Say what you want about William Clay Ford and his lack of success as owner of the Lions, but at least we're not Browns fans, right?
Thanks to the Browns, the Lions can't even succeed at being the NFL's most dysfunctional franchise.
