The NFL Combine generates a lot of headlines based on its on-field workouts, but what goes on behind the scenes is perhaps even more important. Aside from undergoing various medical tests, players at the NFL Combine have a chance to meet with teams from around the league in hopes of impressing them. Conversely, teams have a chance to meet with potential picks to get to know the person behind all of the film and numbers.
For the Detroit Lions, we know that they met with more than 20 players while at the combine. I'm sure there are quite a few meetings that went unreported, meaning we don't have a complete, official list of all the players they spoke with in Indy. However, here's a glimpse at who the Lions talked to at this year's combine:
- WR Brandin Cooks (Oregon State)
- WR Cody Hoffman (BYU)
- WR Donte Moncrief (Mississippi)
- WR Jeff Janis (Saginaw Valley State)
- WR Jordan Matthews (Vanderbilt)
- WR Marqise Lee (USC)
- WR Mike Evans (Texas A&M)
- WR Odell Beckham Jr. (LSU)
- WR Paul Richardson (Colorado)
- WR Sammy Watkins (Clemson)
- TE Troy Niklas (Notre Dame)
- C Bryan Stork (Florida State)
- C Gabe Ikard (Oklahoma)
- C Russell Bodine (North Carolina)
- C Weston Richburg (Colorado State)
- DE Kareem Martin (North Carolina)
- LB Ryan Shazier (Ohio State)
- CB Bradley Roby (Ohio State)
- CB Keith McGill (Utah)

If I missed anybody, leave a link in the comments and I will update the list.
