2013 POD Awards: Defensive Player of the Year

Next up in the 2013 POD Awards is the category for the Detroit Lions' Defensive Player of the Year. Here are the nominees:

DE Ziggy Ansah

Despite playing in only 14 games as a rookie, Ansah finished with 32 tackles and 8.0 sacks. He also had 1 pass defense and 2 forced fumbles for the Lions.

DT Ndamukong Suh

Suh had 49 tackles, 5.5 sacks, 6 pass defenses and 1 forced fumble in 2013. He graded out as the Lions' top defensive player on Pro Football Focus, and a lot of his best plays didn't necessarily show up on the stat sheet.

LB DeAndre Levy

Levy became a defensive playmaker for the Lions in 2013. He had 119 tackles, 14 pass defenses, 6 interceptions and 1 touchdown.

LB Stephen Tulloch

Tulloch had excellent numbers in 2013. He finished with 132 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 2 pass defenses and 1 interception for the Lions.

S Glover Quin

In his first season as a Lion, Quin recorded 57 tackles, 2.0 sacks, 9 pass defenses, 3 interceptions and 1 forced fumble.
