Backup quarterback is one of the Detroit Lions' biggest remaining needs. Shaun Hill has served as Matthew Stafford's backup since 2010, but he is currently a free agent. I'm sure the Lions would like to re-sign him, but he's reportedly set to visit the St. Louis Rams on Monday.

If this sounds familiar, it's because Hill visited the Rams two years ago when he was a free agent. He ended up re-signing with the Lions on a two-year deal shortly after, but those two years are up and Hill is once again drawing interest from the Rams.
If Hill ends up signing with St. Louis this time around, the Lions will have to look elsewhere to fill their backup quarterback role. They do already have Kellen Moore at quarterback, but Martin Mayhew made it pretty clear earlier this offseason that the Lions want someone with experience behind Stafford on the depth chart.
