One of the Detroit Lions' biggest remaining needs is at safety. Since releasing Louis Delmas earlier in the offseason, they have had a vacancy at one of their starting spots at safety. The Lions are expected to sign James Ihedigbo to fill that vacancy, but it's possible that they could draft someone as well.
One option in the first round for the Lions is to draft Alabama safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Along with Louisville's Calvin Pryor, Clinton-Dix is considered one of the top safeties in the 2014 NFL Draft, and the Lions brought him in for a pre-draft visit on Monday.
The #Lions hosted former Alabama S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix on pre-draft visit today. Told me he feels most comfortable playing free safety in NFL.

Last season at Alabama, Clinton-Dix had 51 tackles, 2 interceptions and 4 passes defended. He elected to forgo his senior season to enter the draft, and he's expected to be a first-round pick in May.
