- Jed Collins got a one-year deal from the Detroit Lions that is worth a total of $710,000.
- Collins is already quite familiar with several people involved with the Lions. He was teammates with both Reggie Bush and Joique Bell on the Saints, and Joe Lombardi and John Bonamego were both assistants in New Orleans while Collins was there. What's more, Collins was on the Arizona Cardinals' practice squad when Curtis Modkins was an assistant with that team.
