Last week, we established the top five spots on our 2014 NFL Draft big board. Now it's time to round out the top 10 by revealing the next five spots.
715 of you voted, and UCLA outside linebacker Anthony Barr edged out Auburn offensive tackle Greg Robinson for the sixth spot. They were followed by Oklahoma State cornerback Justin Gilbert, Texas A&M offensive tackle Jake Matthews and Louisville safety Calvin Pryor. Here's the full breakdown on the voting for spots 6-10:
Player | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | 10 | Total |
6. Anthony Barr, LB, UCLA | 149 | 112 | 139 | 70 | 64 | 1814 |
7. Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn | 228 | 78 | 47 | 33 | 16 | 1675 |
8. Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma State | 89 | 109 | 85 | 99 | 98 | 1432 |
9. Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M | 66 | 177 | 60 | 37 | 13 | 1305 |
10. Calvin Pryor, S, Louisville | 54 | 37 | 67 | 85 | 74 | 863 |
With the first five players on our big board factored in, the top 10 includes two wide receivers, two offensive tackles, two outside linebackers, two safeties, one defensive end and one cornerback. None of these positions are necessarily lacking starters thanks to the work the Detroit Lions have done since free agency began, but I think it's safe to say at this point that a position like outside linebacker could use an upgrade more than a position like offensive tackle.
With the top 10 established, up next is voting on spots 11-15. Keep an eye out for that this weekend.
