Usually Pride Of Detroit's birthday coincides with the NFL Draft, but that's not the case this year. The draft is still 11 days away, but POD's birthday has arrived, and it's admittedly a bit of an odd feeling to not have any actual draft picks to talk about at this time of year.
In any case, POD launched on this day in 2006 -- eight years ago exactly. I was a sophomore in high school at the time, and I'm continually amazed at how much this site has grown and evolved over the years. I can't say I expected to one day be busy breaking down the 2014 NFL Draft and the Jim Caldwell-led Detroit Lions when this site was launched eight years ago, but here we are.
Anyway, with another year of POD in the books, I just wanted to say thanks to everybody who reads the site. It wouldn't be possible without all of you, so thank you for reading.
