- When is the 2014 NFL schedule going to be announced? Here's what Adam Schefter had to say earlier in the week:
NFL hoping for mid-April release of schedule, but it still may be late April. NFL not planning to release any part of the schedule early.

- Lions president Tom Lewand sounds like he's in favor of the NFL expanding the playoffs. Considering how tough it's been for the Lions to make it into the playoffs over the years, I suppose this isn't exactly surprising news.
- Rotoworld believes that the Lions' top needs going into this year's draft are at cornerback and wide receiver.
- The Lions aren't sure what to expect this year when it comes to where the top quarterbacks will be drafted. - Former NFL player and current SB Nation writer Stephen White broke down Mike Evans' game in a recent post.
- Mike Mayock recently updated his position rankings for the 2014 NFL Draft.
- Speaking of Mayock, SB Nation looked at the hits and misses from his draft rankings since 2009.
