Following the 2014 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions made several changes to their player personnel department. Those changes were announced on Thursday, and they are as follows:
- Rob Lohman is now the assistant director of pro personnel after serving as the college scouting coordinator and a regional scout.
- Regional scouts Darren Anderson and Joe Kelleher have had their roles "expanded." Anderson is going to "supervise the Lions Midwest Region scouting efforts," while Kelleher is going to handle the Plains/Central Region.
- Alan Anderson has received a promotion and is now a BLESTO scout. He previously was the Lions' pro personnel assistant.
- Patrick Mularkey has been hired as the Lions' pro personnel coordinator after serving as an intern.
As noted by Dave Birkett, these changes came following the retirements of Silas McKinnie and Miller McCalmon. Also from Birkett are these two interesting tidbits:
Scout Rob Lohman has been promoted to assistant director of pro personnel. He scouted Warford last year and Ebron this year.

They also hired Patrick Mularkey as a pro personnel assistant. Mularkey is the son of Mike Mularkey. He interviewed earlier this spring.

Back in April, the Lions announced the hiring of Kevin Bastin as their head athletic trainer. He was brought in to take over for Dean Kleinschmidt, who is set to retire later this year.
