It didn't take long for new Detroit Lions tight end Eric Ebron to pick his jersey number. He elected to keep the number he had in college at North Carolina: 85. Check it out:

In other Ebron news, he got a chance to meet former Lions greats Barry Sanders and Herman Moore after being picked by the team. Sanders actually announced the Ebron pick, and Moore is scheduled to announce the Lions' second-round pick on Friday night.

After catching up with Sanders and Moore, Ebron sent a message to Lions fans via the team's Instagram page:
It's been quite a day for Ebron, to say the very least. Earlier, he got engaged at the top of the Empire State Building, and now he can say that he's a top-10 draft pick.
