Only five Detroit Lions players were sidelined or absent from Tuesday's minicamp practice. On Wednesday, however, the list grew to nine players. Here's the rundown (via Josh Katzenstein):
Sidelined from practice
RB Joique Bell
RB Mikel Leshoure
WR Golden Tate
WR Kevin Ogletree
OG Rob Sims
DE Ziggy Ansah
Absent from practice
WR TJ Jones
LB Stephen Tulloch
CB Chris Houston
The new additions to this list are Mikel Leshoure, Kevin Ogletree, Rob Sims and Stephen Tulloch. Sims and Ogletree missed some time during OTAs, so they likely just sat out Wednesday's practice for precautionary reasons. Actually, that's probably true for Leshoure as well, but it's not clear what kind of injury he is dealing with.
As for Tulloch, who joined TJ Jones and Chris Houston on the absent list, he was off dealing with a "personal matter," according to Katzenstein. Jim Caldwell said on Tuesday that Jones and Houston were excused from practice, so it's safe to assume that Tulloch was excused on Wednesday for something unrelated to an injury.
