Lions set to wrap up OTAs this week

The Detroit Lions' final set of OTAs will be held this week.

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

The Detroit Lions have completed six OTA sessions so far. There are four to go, and the Lions are scheduled to finish off their 2014 OTAs this week. Their final set of OTAs begins on Monday, and they will practice on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as well.

After the Lions complete their OTAs on Thursday, they will be off until Tuesday, June 10. That's when their mandatory minicamp is scheduled to begin. The minicamp will include three days of practice and conclude on June 12, at which point the Lions will break for a brief summer vacation. Preparations for the 2014 season will still continue on an unofficial basis, but players and coaches will get a rare chance to relax a bit before returning for training camp at the end of July.

Here's a look at the Lions' upcoming offseason schedule:

OTAs

June 2-5

Minicamp

June 10-12 (mandatory)

Training camp

Late July-August (the official schedule will be announced at a later date)
