The Detroit Lions continued their final set of OTAs on Tuesday with another practice that was open to the media. Once again, several players were held out of practice because of injuries, and there were a couple notable additions to the injury list. Via Dave Birkett, here's a look at who was out on Tuesday:
Sidelined from practice
RB Joique Bell
WR Golden Tate
WR Kris Durham
TE Joseph Fauria
DE Ziggy Ansah
DE Jason Jones
LB Kyle Van Noy
S James Ihedigbo
Absent from practice
DT Caraun Reid
CB Chris Houston
Tate, Durham, Fauria, Van Noy and Ihedigbo are new additions to the injury list. Tate is dealing with a minor shoulder injury and Van Noy apparently has a sore back, but the other ailments are unknown. In all likelihood, all of the players who were sidelined from practice are just recovering from minor bumps and bruises and were held out for precautionary reasons.
Two players were completely absent from Tuesday's practice: Reid and Houston. Houston is still recovering from toe surgery, but Reid isn't actually injured. Instead, he's attending Princeton's graduation, so he was excused from Tuesday's OTA session.
Back at practice for the Lions on Tuesday were defensive tackle Nick Fairley and cornerback Chris Greenwood. Fairley made his return on Monday after missing some time following sleep apnea surgery, and Greenwood was back after having his hernia surgery "repaired."
