June has nearly come to an end. That means that July is almost here, and that also means that football is almost back. Training camp will kick off in a few short weeks, and the start of the preseason is just a little more than a month away.
Before we flip the calendar to July, it's time for our June approval poll for Detroit Lions general manager Martin Mayhew. Last month, he received a 77% approval rating, which was up from the 74% rating he received before the 2014 NFL Draft. It did not match the 80% approval rating he had after free agency in March, though. Here's the full rundown:
May 2014: 77% approval
April 2014: 74% approval
March 2014: 80% approval
January 2014: 74% approval
December 2013: 87% approval
November 2013: 82% approval
October 2013: 87% approval
September 2013: 70% approval
June 2013: 73% approval
June is usually a pretty quiet time of the year for NFL teams, but Mayhew made headlines by releasing cornerback Chris Houston. Will that factor into his approval rating for this month? I suppose that's up to you, so vote in the poll below and leave your thoughts in the comments.
