Lions notes: Joseph Fauria, Calvin Johnson, more

Lions notes looks at Joseph Fauria, Calvin Johnson and much more.

Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports
  • Joseph Fauria got some tips from 'N Sync's Lance Bass as he prepares for more end-zone celebrations in 2014.

  • Philadelphia Eagles rookie wide receiver Jordan Matthews is going to spend some time training with Calvin Johnson and Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green before training camp begins later this month.

  • Johnson's Catching Dreams Athlete Scholarship Extravaganza took place in Detroit this past weekend.

  • This is just a great tweet:
  • A decision on Jimmy Graham's franchise tag case is expected to be made on Thursday. That means that we should find out this week if Graham is a tight end, a wide receiver or some hybrid of the two positions for the purposes of the franchise tag.

  • It sounds like Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson may be facing a four-game suspension for testing positive for PEDs, although the NFL hasn't confirmed this news just yet.

  • The "No Fun League" has struck again. The NFL's reasoning for this ban is that facemasks with "more bars, smaller spaces between the bars, and a generally larger coverage area" have "more regularly" failed safety tests, so you won't be seeing facemasks like this anymore.
