Lions notes: Stephen Tulloch checks out Wembley Stadium

Lions notes looks at Stephen Tulloch's trip to London, Golden Tate's recent appearance on ESPN and much more.

  • Stephen Tulloch traveled to London this week and got a look at Wembley Stadium, where the Detroit Lions will play the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 26.

  • Golden Tate appeared on ESPN First Take on Monday.

  • Matt Crossman put together an in-depth piece on Matthew Stafford and Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw, who grew up together in the Dallas area.

  • Erin Andrews has joined FOX's No. 1 NFL broadcast team (the one featuring Joe Buck and Troy Aikman), replacing Pam Oliver. In 2014, Oliver will work with FOX's No. 2 team -- featuring Kevin Burkhardt and John Lynch -- in what will be her final season on the sideline for the network.

  • The Dallas Cowboys have released quarterback Kyle Orton, meaning that Brandon Weeden is set to be their backup quarterback this season. Former Lions offensive coordinator Scott Linehan, who is now the passing game coordinator in Dallas, better hope that Tony Romo stays healthy this year.
