Earlier this month, the Detroit Lions announced that eight of their training camp practices will be open to the general public this summer. On Wednesday, the Lions added two more open practice dates, meaning that a total of 10 sessions will be open to the public.
The two additional open practice dates are for Wednesday, July 30 and Thursday, July 31. The practice on July 30 will be held at Wayne State's Tom Adams Field and will begin at 7:30 p.m. (with gates opening at 6 p.m.). The practice on July 31 will be at the Lions' training facility in Allen Park, and it's set to begin at 2 p.m. (with gates opening at 1:30 p.m.).
Although both of these practices are free to attend, there is a catch. For the practice at Wayne State, for example, you will need a ticket to attend:
Tickets are available at the Ford Field and Wayne State University Athletics box offices from 10 AM – 6 PM (Monday-Friday). There will be a limit of four tickets distributed per person while supplies last.
And for the practice in Allen Park, you will have to get a wristband:
Fans must visit a Southeast Michigan Ford Dealer between July 21 and July 31 to pick up their Detroit Lions Think Ford First wristband for entry. There will be a limit of two wristbands distributed per person while supplies last. For more information and dealer locations, visit: http://thinkfordfirst.com/.
