The month of July is beginning to wind down, as is the Detroit Lions' offseason. It opened with the firing of Jim Schwartz and the hiring of Jim Caldwell, and now the Lions' new coaching staff is getting ready to begin its first training camp in Detroit.

Over the course of the offseason, Lions general manager Martin Mayhew has maintained a pretty decent approval rating. It dropped from 87% to 74% as we ended 2013 and began 2014, but it rebounded nicely in March with an 80% rating. Since then, Mayhew's rating has consistently been somewhere in the 70s, as you can see below.

June 2014: 78% approval
May 2014: 77% approval
April 2014:
74% approval
March 2014: 80% approval
January 2014: 74% approval
December 2013: 87% approval
November 2013: 82% approval
October 2013:
87% approval
September 2013: 70% approval
