The month of July is beginning to wind down, as is the Detroit Lions' offseason. It opened with the firing of Jim Schwartz and the hiring of Jim Caldwell, and now the Lions' new coaching staff is getting ready to begin its first training camp in Detroit.
Over the course of the offseason, Lions general manager Martin Mayhew has maintained a pretty decent approval rating. It dropped from 87% to 74% as we ended 2013 and began 2014, but it rebounded nicely in March with an 80% rating. Since then, Mayhew's rating has consistently been somewhere in the 70s, as you can see below.
