The end of the Detroit Lions' offseason is finally almost here. It won't really come to an end until the Lions hit the field for their first training camp practice of 2014 on Monday, but we are going to move a step closer to that point on Sunday with the team's veterans reporting to Allen Park.
Earlier in the week, the Lions' rookies reported for camp, as did some veterans who are dealing with injuries. Now, with the rest of the team reporting on Sunday, the Lions are nearly ready to begin practice. They will do that on Monday afternoon after the veterans undergo physicals and take the Lions' conditioning test on Sunday, and they will have several practices this week. Here's a look at the Lions' upcoming schedule:
- Monday, July 28 - 3:30 p.m. (Allen Park)
- Tuesday, July 29 - 3:30 p.m. (Allen Park)
- Wednesday, July 30 - 7:30 p.m. (Wayne State)
- Thursday, July 31 - 2 p.m. (Allen Park)
- Friday, Aug. 1 - 3:30 p.m. (Allen Park)
- Saturday, Aug. 2 - 10:30 a.m. (Allen Park)
The Lions' first two practices are open to season-ticket holders. The third and fourth practices are open to the general public, but you need a ticket for the Wayne State one and a wristband for the one in Allen Park. On Friday and Saturday, both practices will be open to the general public, and no tickets or wristbands will be required to attend the sessions.
