Last week, the Detroit Lions put wide receivers Golden Tate and TJ Jones and defensive end Ziggy Ansah on the PUP list. All three players ended up on the PUP list with shoulder injuries, although none of the ailments were believed to be long-term things.
In Tate's case, his shoulder injury was indeed only a short-term issue. I say that because the Lions actually activated him from the PUP list on Monday morning. This means that he is eligible to practice when training camp officially opens on Monday afternoon, and this means that he was only on the PUP list in the first place for precautionary reasons.
With Tate set to practice, only Jones and Ansah remain on the PUP list. Both players had shoulder surgery this offseason. Jones' surgery was seemingly not as serious as Ansah's, but there's no concrete timetable on how long either player will be out. I would expect both players to be activated from the PUP list and practice sooner rather than later, though.
