- In their own ranking of the NFL's best quarterbacks, NFL.com put Matthew Stafford in the "established franchise quarterbacks" tier with Tony Romo, Jay Cutler, Joe Flacco and Eli Manning. On Wednesday, ESPN ranked Stafford 13th and put him in the NFL's second tier of quarterbacks.
- The Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens made a trade involving linebacker Rolando McClain on Tuesday.
I guess this means that McClain is once again no longer retired.
- The Cowboys likely acquired McClain to help make up for the loss of linebacker Sean Lee, who was officially placed on injured reserve this week after previously suffering a season-ending knee injury.
- Speaking of season-ending knee injuries, Buffalo Bills linebacker Kiko Alonso tore his ACL during a recent workout. It has been a rough offseason for linebackers, especially when you consider that the Atlanta Falcons' Sean Weatherspoon ruptured his Achilles last month.
