For the third year in a row, Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson has made the top 10 for NFL Network's Top 100 Players series. Johnson was actually ranked third overall in both 2012 and 2013 (he was 27th in 2011), and he hasn't appeared in the 90 spots that have been revealed so far for the 2014 edition of the list. This means that he will be somewhere in the top 10.
Once Johnson's spot is unveiled, the Lions will have five players in the top 100. Here's a rundown of the four players who have already been ranked this year:
100. Matthew Stafford
85. Reggie Bush
59. DeAndre Levy
40. Ndamukong Suh
In 14 games last season, Johnson caught 84 passes for 1,492 yards and 12 touchdowns. He is still viewed as the NFL's top wide receiver, so it's not out of the question that he could land in the top five yet again.
The final 10 spots for this year's top 100 will be revealed on NFL Network next Wednesday with a two-hour show that starts at 9 p.m.
