Lions notes: Dan Orlovsky, 2015 NFL Draft, more

Lions notes looks at Dan Orlovsky's thoughts on his infamous safety from 2008, an awful idea for the 2015 NFL Draft and much more.

  • Dan Orlovsky spoke to the Detroit Lions' official site about his infamous safety from the 2008 season, and he called it a "bonehead play." He also talked about the importance of understanding his role as the Lions' backup quarterback and how he can help his teammates even if he's not on the field this season.

  • I really, really hope this doesn't happen: Talk about fixing something that isn't broken.

  • Lions fans were all over the world for Fourth of July weekend.

  • Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon is already facing a season-long suspension, and he was arrested for a DWI over the weekend. Looking back, the Lions were wise to steer clear of a possible trade for Gordon last season. At the time, getting a talent like that for only a second-round pick or whatever seemingly made a lot of sense, but given what's happened this offseason, it clearly would have been a big mistake.
