The latest casualty for the Detroit Lions is offensive lineman Garrett Reynolds, according to Pro Football Talk.
Reynolds signed with the Lions just before the start of training camp. The move gave the Lions some veteran depth for the interior of their offensive line, but clearly they feel comfortable with their younger guys at offensive guard and center. As a result, Reynolds wasn't needed going forward.
With Reynolds and Darren Keyton being released, this likely means Rodney Austin has a very good chance of making the final roster as the only backup guard.
