Wide receiver Kris Durham is headed to Tennessee. A day after being released by the Detroit Lions, he was claimed off waivers by the Tennessee Titans. This means that he will be reunited with former Lions wide receivers coach Shawn Jefferson, who currently holds that position with the Titans.
Just before this news broke on Sunday afternoon, Durham tweeted this message:
Thank you Detroit! Forever grateful!

Interestingly, Durham was the only Lions cut who was claimed on Sunday. All of the other cuts cleared waivers, including the 10 players who ended up being signed to the Lions' practice squad.
Speaking of waiver claims, the Lions were not awarded anybody on Sunday. It's entirely possible that they made a claim and simply didn't have high enough priority to get the player they wanted, but either way, they didn't add anybody new to their 53-man roster. They could still make changes to their roster in the next couple days, especially if Kyle Van Noy goes on short-term injured reserve, but there's nothing to report on that front for now.
