It's looking more and more like rookie undrafted free agent Cornelius Lucas or the recently re-signed Garrett Reynolds will start at right tackle for the Detroit Lions this week. With Corey Hilliard out for the season, he's no longer an option, and the regular starter, LaAdrian Waddle, may not be an option because of a calf injury. He left Monday's game early on with the injury, and he did not practice on Wednesday.
Here's the Lions' full injury report for Wednesday:
RB Reggie Bush (knee) - Limited in practice
TE Brandon Pettigrew (foot) - Limited in practice
OT LaAdrian Waddle (calf) - Did not practice
S James Ihedigbo (neck) - Limited in practice
S Don Carey (hamstring) - Did not practice
The good news here is that James Ihedigbo practiced. Yes, it was on a limited basis, but that's a sign that he may be able to play this week after missing the Lions' season opener. With Don Carey still out, the Lions are already pretty thin at safety, so it would be a nice boost for the secondary if Ihedigbo returns as the starting strong safety this week.
