Lions-Panthers injury report: James Ihedigbo again doubtful for Detroit

There isn't much good news in the Detroit Lions' final injury report for Week 2.

Leon Halip

It's been a rough couple of weeks for the Detroit Lions from an injury standpoint. Before the season, Kyle Van Noy was placed on injured reserve with the designation to return, and T.J. Jones was moved to the reserve PUP list. And in Week 1, the Lions lost both Bill Bentley and Corey Hilliard to season-ending injuries.

As if those injuries weren't enough, it looks as though the Lions will be down three more players for their Week 2 game against the Carolina Panthers. Starting right tackle LaAdrian Waddle and backup safety Don Carey have both been ruled out for Sunday's game after not practicing this week, and starting strong safety James Ihedigbo is doubtful for the second week in a row. Ihedigbo actually practiced on a limited basis all week, but his neck injury is expected to keep him sidelined yet again.

Here's the Lions' final injury report for Week 2:

RB Reggie Bush (knee) - Probable
TE Brandon Pettigrew (foot) - Probable
OT LaAdrian Waddle (calf) - Out
S James Ihedigbo (neck) - Doubtful
S Don Carey (hamstring) - Out

And here's the Panthers' final Week 2 injury report:

QB Cam Newton (rib) - Probable
RB DeAngelo Williams (thigh) - Questionable
TE Greg Olsen (not injury related) - Probable
OT Garry Williams (hip) - Questionable
DE Greg Hardy (not injury related) - Probable
LB Jason Williams (thigh) - Questionable
