NFL power rankings, Week 4: Lions back on the rise

Following an impressive win over the Green Bay Packers, the Detroit Lions moved in the right direction in this week's NFL power rankings.

Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

It's always fun to look at NFL power rankings after a big Detroit Lions win, and that's especially true this week. After shutting down Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, the Lions moved up across the board in this week's power rankings. Take a look:

The Lions are in the 12-13 range for most sets of power rankings this week. The two outliers are NFL.com and FOX Sports. The former has the Lions down at 15th, whereas the latter actually has the Lions all the way up at No. 8. FOX Sports has been high on the Lions all season, and they are the only site with them in the top 10 going into Week 4.

The New York Jets, which will host the Lions on Sunday, are 23rd (SB Nation), 19th (NFL.com), 21st (ESPN), 21st (CBS Sports), 21st (FOX Sports) and 21st (Pro Football Talk) in this week's power rankings. There isn't exactly a ton of disagreement on their ranking, which isn't a huge surprise considering they have suffered back-to-back losses to NFC North teams. The Lions will try to hand them another loss courtesy of the NFC North this week.
