Lions-Jets inactives: Calvin Johnson active for Detroit

Wide receiver Calvin Johnson is active for the Detroit Lions.

Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

After missing some practice time this week, there was concern that the Detroit Lions might be without wide receiver Calvin Johnson on Sunday. Johnson was declared questionable because of an ankle injury, and there was no guarantee he was going to play against the New York Jets.

Luckily for the Lions, it has now been confirmed that Johnson is in fact going to play on Sunday. He is not on the list of inactives, meaning he will be on the field. His snaps could potentially be limited by his injury, but Johnson is at least going to play.

Here's the list of players who are inactive for the Lions:

QB Kellen Moore
TE Joseph Fauria
OT LaAdrian Waddle
DE Larry Webster
LB Travis Lewis
CB Cassius Vaughn
S Don Carey

Of those seven players, only Kellen Moore and Larry Webster are actually healthy right now. The other five inactive players are sidelined because they are currently dealing with injuries. That's obviously not good news, but on the bright side, all of the injuries helped make Ryan Broyles active for the first time this season, so there's that.

Here are the Jets' inactives for Sunday:

WR Jalen Saunders
OT Dakota Dozier
OT Ben Ijalana
DE Ikemefuna Enemkpali
DT Kenrick Ellis
LB A.J. Edds
CB Dee Milliner
