  • Here's what Martin Mayhew had to say about Ryan Broyles' lack of playing time in 2014:
  • Where are the Detroit Lions at as a franchise after going one-and-done in the playoffs after an 11-5 regular season? Here's Mayhew's current view of the team:
  • Gunther Cunningham didn't return as the Lions' defensive coordinator after Jim Schwartz was fired, but he remained with the team, and it sounds like he did a lot behind the scenes in 2014. As long as Cunningham wants to continue to be involved with the Lions, I certainly wouldn't be opposed to them keeping him around.

  • Should the Lions lose their current defensive coordinator, Teryl Austin, to a head coaching job elsewhere, Jim Caldwell will be the one responsible for hiring his replacement.
  • This is good to hear considering how nasty Nevin Lawson's season-ending foot injury was:
