Jim Caldwell's first season as head coach of the Detroit Lions produced an 11-5 regular season and a controversial first-round exit in the playoffs. The Lions came up one win short of the NFC North title, but they did make it back to the postseason for the first time since the 2011 season.
When we last evaluated Caldwell, the Lions had just wrapped up the regular season and were about to take on the Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs. At the time, they were coming off of a loss to the Green Bay Packers in the regular-season finale, and Caldwell ended up with an 85 percent approval rating, as you can see below.
December 2014: 85% approval
November 2014: 87% approval
October 2014: 94% approval
September 2014: 96% approval
August 2014: 67% approval
June 2014: 77% approval
Now, with Caldwell's first season fully in the books, do you approve of the job he's doing as head coach of the Lions? In all likelihood, this will be Caldwell's final approval poll until next summer, so make sure to vote in the poll below and leave your thoughts in the comments.
