Lions notes: Darius Slay, Calvin Johnson, more

Lions notes looks at Darius Slay, Calvin Johnson and much more.

  • Darius Slay has really looked up to Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden, so I'm sure Slay is quite thrilled to read this:
  • Well said, Darrelle Revis:
  • In a piece for ESPN, Pro Football Focus examined "how many above-average players stood between" each NFL team and the Super Bowl. For the Detroit Lions, PFF found that they are only five above-average players away from contending for the Super Bowl. This put them sixth in the NFL. Not bad.

  • Justin Tuck really wants Ndamukong Suh to join him in Oakland by signing with the Raiders.

  • To say Joe Lombardi's offense in Detroit is based heavily on the New Orleans Saints' offense would be an understatement.
