Lions notes: Travis Swanson, Teryl Austin, more

Lions notes looks at an update on Travis Swanson's injury, a rundown of Teryl Austin's interview schedule and much more.

  • The Detroit Lions lost Travis Swanson to a knee injury on Sunday, but it looks like it wasn't anything serious after all. Jim Caldwell said that surgery isn't currently in the plans for Swanson, but that apparently isn't set in stone just yet.

  • Teryl Austin's interview schedule is beginning to take shape. According to Aditi Kinkhabwala, the Lions defensive coordinator will interview with the Atlanta Falcons on Wednesday and the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday. There's no word yet on when he's scheduled to speak with the Buffalo Bills, which also expressed interest in interviewing him.

  • It appears Austin isn't the only member of the Lions drawing interest from other teams.
  • A whole lot of people watched Sunday's Lions-Dallas Cowboys game.
  • Golden Tate and Dominic Raiola let their shirts do the talking on Monday.
  • Finally, to lighten the mood a bit... At least Lions players haven't lost their sense of humor after all that happened on Sunday.
