Week 6 power rankings: Several consider Lions NFL's worst team

Many football outlets rank the Lions as the worst team in the NFL, and it's hard to argue against them.

The Detroit Lions have been the only winless team in the NFL for over a week now. On the heels of a controversial non-call that almost irrefutably cost the Lions their first win of the season in Seattle, most analysts believed the Lions were bad, but not among the NFL's worst. But after their embarrassing performance against the Arizona Cardinals, the Lions cemented their place among the bottom-dwellers of the league. Three of the following six power rankings have the Lions dead last in the league. Here's where all of the power rankings place the Lions:

  • SB Nation: 32nd (down two spots)
  • NFL.com: 32nd (down eight spots)
  • ESPN: 31st (down five spot)
  • CBS Sports: 32nd (down one spot)
  • FOX Sports: 30th (down two spots)
  • Yahoo! Sports: 29th (down four spots)
  • Detroit's schedule finally lets up a bit this week as they face the Chicago Bears (2-3). Although they are freshly coming off their second win of the season (and a huge upset), the Bears are still widely considered one of the worst teams in the NFL. Chicago ranks 19th (SB Nation), 24th (NFL.com), 24th (ESPN), 19th (CBS Sports), 21st (FOX Sports), 26th (Yahoo! Sports).
