Injury report: Eric Ebron out for Lions, Bennett questionable for Bears

The final injury reports for the Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions were announced Friday. Both teams feature around a dozen players listed anywhere from "out" to "probable," but the most damaging blows to the Detroit Lions came in the news that tight end Eric Ebron, who made it his mission to return to the field Sunday, was ruled out on the Friday injury report. Defensive tackle Haloti Ngata has also been ruled out for Sunday.

Ebron had been limited in practice all week, but it would seem he will be sitting on the sidelines as a precaution to his recovery. Haloti Ngata suffered a calf injury during the Arizona Cardinals game and has not practiced all week. The other Lion who has been ruled out for certain is DeAndre Levy, who is underdoing hip surgery.

The running back position looks tenuous as both Theo Riddick and Joique Bell have been ruled "questionable" for Sunday's game, leaving only Ameer Abdullah and Zach Zenner healthy. James Ihedigbo has also been ruled "questionable." He was out from practice Wednesday and Thursday with a quad strain, but returned to practice Friday.

Larry Warford and LaAdrian Waddle have been ruled "probable" for Sunday, as have Golden Tate and Darius Slay.

For the Chicago Bears, tight end Martellus Bennett, fresh off calling his brother unflattering names, injured his quadriceps during Thursday practice. He has been listed as "questionable," potentially removing one of Jay Cutler's more consistent weapons. Another one of those weapons, wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, remains "questionable" for Sunday.
