The Lions returned to practice Wednesday and the first report was released regarding injuries the team is suffering, including new ones sustained from Sunday's victory over the Chicago Bears. Two names stick out among those not practicing Wednesday: Brandon Pettigrew, who is missing practice again with knee and elbow injuries and Josh Wilson, who sustained a concussion on Sunday.
Although originally kept out with a knee injury, Pettigrew's injury report now also lists that one of his elbows has suffered damage. Josh Wilson played the full game against the Chicago Bears and did not leave the game at any point to be treated for a concussion, so it would appear that the Lions learned of the injury afterwards.
Jim Caldwell said today that DeAndre Levy had successful hip surgery. It is not known if he will be placed on the Injured Reserve list.
Haloti Ngata returned to practice Wednesday, still limited with a calf strain. Good news came as Joique Bell returned to full practice. The running back has missed the last three games with an ankle injury. The full injury report follows.
