The Detroit Lions started off the year with a myriad of injuries, including several starters missing some time. DeAndre Levy is really the only name that remains on that list in terms of serious injuries, and it's very likely that he'll be out for some time. LaAdrian Waddle, who was listed as "Questionable," will play vs. the Chiefs.
Despite being listed as "Probable" for Sunday's game, Rashean Mathis will not be available for the Lions and Nevin Lawson will start in his place. Mathis had been dealing with an illness throughout the week. TJ Jones is also inactive for today's game, meaning the Lions will have to figure out what to do with their kick/punt return situation. Expect Ameer Abdullah and Golden Tate to get most of the looks as return specialists.
