Lions notes: Detroit only had 10 men on field for final kick

Today's notes breaks down another mistake from the Lions that almost handed the Packers the game.

  • When the Green Bay Packers lined up for the potentially game-winning kick, the Detroit Lions shockingly only had 10 men on the field: Jim Caldwell addressed the play in Monday's press conference and admitted that the Lions were shorthanded on TWO field goals on the day. He took complete blame for the errors.
  • Ameer Abdullah now leads the league in kickoff return yards and return yard average: Even if you take away his long return from Sunday, Abdullah would rank fourth in return average.
