Lions notes: Darius Slay's dominant month

After some early struggles, Darius Slay has really picked up his game lately.

  • The Detroit Lions made the rumored transactions from Tuesday official on Wednesday. They placed Josh Wilson on the injured reserve list and signed Bill BentleyThey also added wide receiver Corey Washington and linebacker Khaseem Greene to the practice squad.
  • Although he is not eligible to return this season, Rashean Mathis is no longer suffering from concussion symptoms.
  • Ameer Abdullah blogged about his big special teams play against the Packers. On getting caught:
    "I wish I would have scored. When he caught up to me, oh man … I’ve played against Micah Hyde a lot in college. I’ve always said he’s a really fast player. He did a heck of a job hustling."
