After the Detroit Lions visited London for two consecutive seasons, many thought it would become a yearly tradition. Apparently that is not the case, as the NFL released its schedule for the 2016 games to be played in London and the Lions are not included. Here are the scheduled games:
Oct. 2, 2016: Colts at Jaguars
Oct. 23, 2016: NFC East opponent at Rams
Oct. 30, 2016: Redskins at Bengals
I, for one, am relieved that the Lions are not returning to London next year. Besides it being a personal nuisance waking up at 6:30 a.m. PT to watch football, it has to take a toll on the Lions players. And as fun as it has been to watch the Lions get some international coverage, the novelty has already worn off.
What do you think about the 2016 London schedule?
