NFL power rankings Week 9: Detroit Lions almost unanimously worst team

It's hard to make an argument against the Detroit Lions being the worst team in the NFL.

After Sunday's embarrassing loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in London, the Lions make an easy argument for the worst team in the NFL. They rank 31st in DVOA. They have the 30th ranked scoring offense and the 32nd ranked defense.

As a result, it is almost unanimous among power rankings that the Lions are the worst team in the NFL. Four of the six power rankings listed have Detroit as the bottom-dweller. Once again, ESPN's curious rankings actually bumped the Lions up one spot after their 45-10 loss.

  • SB Nation: 32nd (no change)
  • NFL.com: 32nd (down one spot)
  • ESPN: 30th (up one spot)
  • CBS Sports: 31st (down one spots)
  • FOX Sports: 32nd (down two spots)
  • Yahoo! Sports: 32nd (down two spots)
  • Detroit mercifully has a bye week in Week 9. After a week's worth of rest, Detroit will head to Green Bay to face the 6-1 Packers.
